A Family

by Panos   Mar 25, 2006

The time it took seemed unbearable,
The everlasting pain of loss
But finally your back
We can be a family again
For a breakfasts time
A family

Through the memories
Of good times passed
And the memories
Of problems solved
We can be a family again
For a lunches time
A family

The days of my youth
Forever scarred by loss
And though it wasn’t bad
I still miss you
We can be a family again
For a dinners time
A family

After our dinners time
We laugh and joke
But now we must retire
I watch the garage door
Close on the wonderful night
And I wonder if by some reason
The headlights fading away
Will come back to stay
A family.
