You Were Always There

I love you, i really do,
I can't stop thinking about you,
But what you did that day,
Left me with nothing to say,
Why did you do this i can't understand why,
You have just left me here to cry,
i am alone now, no one by my side,
You have left me here to hide,
I think about you each and everyday,
I am sorry that i couldn't stay,
But always know i will be there,
Because you were there when i was scared.

    It need a bit more umph behind it but the rhyme and structure were intact...made me go awww....it was charming to read.

    The rhyme sceme helped to make the last line stand out...
    I thought this poem was really sweet but sad and emotive
