Fighting darkness

I know that things seem hopeless
I know things for you are bad
But I know something about you
You should think of when you feel sad

You may think you've lost to darkness
But I can see the light in you
You may feel like giving up
But I know you can make it through

I know it seems your friends have turned
You know I'm always here
And I know you feel betrayed
And remember, when you feel fear

You may think you've lost to darkness
But I can see the light in you

I know you wish you could start over
I think so many of us do
I know you feel worse then ever before
And so I have this to tell you

You may think you've lost to darkness

I know you're in a dark place
I know because I've been there too
And I know those shadows you'll face

    Wow.. i really like this poem.. its very optimistic.. i like that .. the only thing is that a few lines dont flow as well as the rest.. but dont worry i get that problem all the time.. but i still think its a really great poem.. i like it a lot.. great job!!

    This poem had a sadness to it however it was also very inspirational.
    I can really relate as I have friends who are going through the same thing and I would do anything to be there for them in their time of need.
    I like how you repeated that one stanza as it was not over done.
    I also like the flow and the rhymes did not sound forced. Great write!!

    THis poem was so sweet, and even inspirational. It shows the reader that yes YOU can get through it because there is someone there to help you. I think it would have been even more effecctive if you elaborated a bit on the story behind it. Tell a bit about the friends porblems and how they can get through them.
    Still it is a very touching poem, and has the potenetial to be very amazing!!! Good luck ;)
