Lands Of Agony

by HalfMoon   Jul 6, 2006

Lands of dark torment
That is all I see
Because of this I'm judged
People misunderstand me

Lands twisted with unspoken anguish
Trees leafless with despair
Bark black as night's shadows
Draped sinister with delicate care

Lands haunted by unfeeling souls
Lakes turned crimson with deceased
Creatures lurking at their edge
Thinking, single minded, to feast

Lands cold with unholy night
Lightless skies without an end
Darkness, shadows, a black lifetime
Its never ending, your only friend

Lands laden with black dust
Ash not produced by any flame
Soaked with the blood of innocence
A mind of its own set to maim

Lands mutilated in defeat
Echoing with cries of agony
As more souls are ripped apart
Twisted things you cannot see

Lands thick with eerie fog
A silence murdered with a scream
Surely all this can't be real
Or so it may seem

Lands of dark torment
That is all I see
I don't need to go to hell
For it has come to me
