Forgotten Chance

I watched you walk away
And I felt it in my heart
We had been together so long
That we were finally falling apart

We spoke the words
That didn't say enough
Pretending to be so strong
Made believe we were tough

The words we didn't say
Are running in my head
Instead of the noise I expected
I hear only silence instead

I could've solved this problem
With a touch of your lips to mine
But I let the chance go by
And you left for one last time

Did you hear what I was thinking?
Because I didn't know what to do
I was torn and I was crying
And it was all because of you

When someone truly doesn't love me
I'll remember this day
The final time you left me
And so quietly walked away

    Wow... i can see what you mean... amazing poem though hun and i hope you're alright. i'm going ok, although it's tough... i really thought i was ready to love again, but i guess i wasn't. but other than that, things are great. still playing my sports :P and schools ok. 10 more weeks and the semester's over (im in cegep). so yeah, im pretty much doing ok. how about you?

    This makes me sad Car :-( I hate feeling so crummy like this girl, I hate it with a passion!! Your words really draw your readers into feeling how your feeling, I'm going to agree with Luanne on the tissue thing...even in your sad writes though, excellent wording!
