My wait

by Andrew   Aug 24, 2006

Im sitting here on my bench,
Waiting for you to call,
Its a good thing I finished my homework,
Because I dont have to worry about it at all,

I stare into the sky,
The sun is just setting,
You should of arrived there by now,
Because the stars are just gleaming,

I dont know why,
You cant stay with your parents,
Your only 16,
But your past is apparent,

I know your past is horrible,
Its what caused you to be you,
Im sorry for what had happened,
But I still love you,

I miss the way you make me laugh,
I miss you very much,
I miss your beautiful face,
I really miss your touch,

Youve been gone for only a day,
Im acting like its been years,
I hope you turned around,
To see my puddles of tears,

I remember our first day,
The day that we kiss,
You were quite good,
Thats something Ill miss,

Staring into the sky,
Looking back at the days,
We were so happy together,
Thats now a memory I will praise,

I sit here now,
With the phone in my hand,
Hoping you will call,
Anytime now, on this land,

Its getting late,
Im too afraid to sleep,
Im afraid I might miss your call,
This wait is hurting me deep.
