Reflections

by just*some*gurl   Sep 8, 2006

She looks in the mirror at her reflection.
The scars that run deep are starting to heal.
Hoping someday sheâ??ll be able to feel,
Some sort of love and some protection.
The mirror thatâ??s cracked and made out of steel,
Shows blood shot eyes that tell of tiresome nights.
Awaiting the day that her wounds would seal,
She winces at memories of past fights.
They told her sheâ??d failed and hadnâ??t done right.
The battles were too much for her to bear.
The screaming and yelling just made her sore.
Throwing the mirror, she squeezed her eyes tight,
Reflections were ugly, it just wasnâ??t fair.
Then like the glass, her life shattered to the floor.
