I watched the sun sink into the horizon
I watched the day turn from an ocean of blue
Into a dark blanket with lights seeping through

Each star stayed there and reminded me
Of the nights we shared under it all
Your arms around me until the end of fall

With the coming of snow
With long winter nights on their way
Something strange happened and you went astray

Now the snows falling down
And each individual flake
Reminds me that it was my heart you did break

So when the snow melts away
When spring sends its gloom
Ill toy with my feelings alone in my room

Maybe again this summer youll come
And if Im lucky Ill see your face at my door
Then maybe well watch the sun set once more

But the airs too cold tonight
And the suns gone down
