Words i won't forget

by libby   Sep 15, 2006

Darling, don't you know
that colorless green ideas sleep furiously
tonight?
We'll drink the new wine with
the exquisite corpse until
we grow thick and sluggish
with the weight we don't possess.

We all want to be
more than we feel, right?
I mean,
that's why we're here, that's why
I even bother.
I guess I'm hoping that
you have something
something you can breathe into me
that can get rid of
my empty.

So as I scramble for a handhold
on your polysemantic sentence
I can't seem to forget
that we're all nothing...
substance all just melts away.
