Without Words

Without Words

He sits in his room day after day
Waiting for his injury to heal
So he can go back out into the real world
And embrace what life should feel like again

Staring into the walls with lifeless eyes
Looking to the stars with a soulless mind
He grips his demons with both hands tight
And prepares for the rollercoaster of his life

Ridding on the winds of all his thoughts
Tracing by them at lightning speeds
Slowly seeing his worries grow bigger
He closes his eyes and wishes it all away

A night feels like eternity
Lying in bed trying desperately not to cry
The tears in his heart feel like ice
The screams in his mind are as hard as stone

Breaking the chains of a long lost destiny
Loosening the binds tightening on his soul
Bleeding ghosts and whispers without a shape
The mirror shows an image only he can see

Without a way out he falls on the floor
And lets his eyes weaken with every second past
His arms get weak and start to feel limp
White lights get brighter with every beat

Through the darkness a hand breaks through
Griping his soul in a velvet like embrace
A soft voice sings calmly to his mind
Gentle eyes pierce his aching heart

Slowly she sets her lips on his
Breathing sweet embers into his soul
A fire burning so very strong begins to awaken
From the depths of his darkest being

A light only seen by an angel begins to shine
Cradling him in a warm blanket of hope
Darkness begins to fade slowly away
Rekindling the fires of life into his soul once again

This is such a sad poem i loves the part when it said he stared at walls with lifeless eyes.
it touched me badly since i feel the same way begging god to hide my wounds to stop me looking back on them...
    great work.
