Another Day

by master of shadow   Dec 2, 2006

Numb the brain
Delete all that's past,
Relief for a while
Even though it won't last.
Staring at the ocean
Laying there in a cup,
Trapped in this cycle
Never able to give up.

Stare at the pills
Wonder how many to take,
How many to destroy reality
Make it all seem fake.
Drugs mixed with alcohol
You know it's not right,
But you'll do anything now
Just to escape for the night.

Open your eyes
As the room starts to spin,
Light shines across the floor
As a new day does begin.
Sick and tired
Light hurts your eyes,
Realise what happened
Your weakness you despise.

Maybe a drink to get going
An amphetamine or two,
This is just another day
That you'll have to get though.

Woah... This is again, a great read! Again excellent word usage, and flow. Quite sad but i see why you put it in the life catergory. Keep them up! xx
