A Sad Willow Tree

by FlirtingWithDeath   Jan 5, 2007

A sad willow tree
Sways in the breeze,
When it rains
The tree wilts
Its leaves.

All alone
In a valley of nothing
No flowers grow
Only shadows that form.

Crunch of the dirt
No sign of green grass
The tree stands alone
Facings all natures wraths.

Layers of bark
Stripped from all over
A sad willow tree
Sways in the breeze.

I really like poems about nature and this one is no exception. I find that the Nature section of Poems and Quotes is where some of the best poems are found. I like writing Love poems and find that I incorporate many nature themes into them. There are a lot of poems in the Love section but there are only a few that really shine where in the nature section I find the opposite – most of them are very good. I enjoyed your poem and hope to read more from you in the future.

Very nice poem CJ. However you know I am big on strucutre, unless it was meant to be like that I think it would be better to break it up into stanzas. The flow was good and the overall poem was very nicely done. It was short and straight to the point. Great Job.

    Peace, Joe
