Numb

by FlirtingWithDeath   Jun 4, 2007

Her heart was the victim,
Her eyes they still do cry,
As much as it hurts
She finds a way to get by.

Surrounding her heart
With a dark woven cloak,
She knows it will keep her safe
Protecting her from any mans venom.

Darkness builds up inside her,
Let no one in,
A heart can not break
If she keeps it locked up
And away.

Happy shadows,
Consume her body,
Light disappear,
As she lays down her fears.

No stars shine down,
Say goodbye too the moon,
Her heart will never blossom
It will forever stay numb.
