What is mine

by beav   Jan 16, 2007

Extremities tremble with
chilled wind blowing relentlessly
lost in oblivion
a void
alone i cry out
the wind takes my words
leaves me in silence
solitude is absent
sanity is moot
serenity is lost
somehow i remain content
in my pain i find peace
it is my pain
i can call it my own
to know i have something
be it pleasure or otherwise
it is mine alone
me
alone

Sanity and serenity, two words i never read. great poem. i loved how you set it out, different yet effective.
