Tomorrow i travel

by beav   Oct 21, 2007

Tomorrow i travel
my father's last road-
a grievous stretch
of anxious deep-gray torment.

years on, still fearful
with the dread of a child-
one who knows too much
of life and death and love.

though there is unease,
it rests not in going-
it crouches like a shadow
in coming back.
