Who Am I?

by winterseve28   Feb 22, 2007

Who Am I?

I need to wake up,
To open my eyes.
Look through the haze,
Crack through the disguise

The mask so long a part of me,
No longer knowing what lies beneath.
I dont even know who I am.
Can I pry underneath?

And take a slow, long, look around,
To familiarize myself,
With the person who resides,
Hidden deep within myself.

I was content for so long,
Wading through my daily motions,
In limbo treading water,
Devoid of all emotion.

Then you came into my life,
A key to my tightly locked safe.
I want to show you everything.
Break open my forgotten cache.

Once I discover that person,
And all she holds inside
I can share her with you
No longer buried will she hide.
