The Rainy Day

by Daisy   Mar 19, 2007

The rain pitter-pattering,
Sinking deep on the floor,
Over the hills,
And over the moor,
And for a hot day,
It is the cure.
Shimmering,
Flickering,
Pattering.
Flying fast on the grass,
For when summer comes,
The rain will be last.

That was amazing. I live where I get 150+ inches of rain a year and you described it wonderfully. I personally love the rain so this really hit home for me, thank you.

Beautiful poem, simply put, but it set the scene wonderfully and so many images crossed my mind! A great poem for anyone to read that describes rain, and gives them visuals. Nice work, 5/5 from me. Keep writing and take care...
