A little piece of you,
Is always in my heart,
It's been there since I met you,
Right from the very start.

I used to watch your lips as you talked,
And follow where your eyes gazed,
Because I wanted to know you more,
You never ceased to amaze.

I can still hear your voice in my head,
Though I'm no longer with you,
And I can still feel your arms around me,
I just wish the feeling was true.

I wish we'd had more time together,
But the time we had was enough,
For me to be so grateful for life,
Even though it can sometimes be tough.

And if I'd never known this life,
I never would've known you,
And to be honest if that'd happened,
I don't know what I'd do.

But for now a little piece of you,
Will always be in my heart,
Until we meet again,
and death breaks us apart.
