I am sending my angel,
To look out just for you,
Through the long winters nights,
And all the year through.

To watch over the path
that you take day by day,
To be a light when it is dark
And a cushion when you fall.

To keep you in her safety
From all that is so harsh,
The winds that blow from the north
The words that cut to the quick.

To listen when you cry
Over problems large or small,
When life seems all too much
