Enchantment

Demon, you enchant me with a passion so great, I could just die in your world. You haunt me night and day as your fingers burn across my skin. Your eyes watch me with such fierceness, I can barely stand it! You can see everything about me can't you? You can see straight through my skin to my transparent heart. You can see the insecurities that plague my soul in ways only we could understand. Dear demon, could you just hold me tonight? Protect me against the hail of bullets that threaten to consume me. As I choke on the words, "I love you", you take my arm to mark a mark of something darker than love, a remembrance of you, for me to look at forever more. I feel your breath on me as I face my inner turmoil, I feel your eyes on my skin as I burn in an inner hell, watching me with your outstretched hands. All I do is yearn for you, even though you frighten my soul to its very core. I know you love me, but I'm scared to know I'm on your mind, running through your veins into your heart. Cradle me to sleep inside your arms. Let me die in your world.

~This is a poem about someone very special to me, someone that I fell in love with, and has never stopped loving for years. I hope he reads this~
