The Clock

by Aodh Hyperion   Sep 21, 2007

... the clock became a bullet hole

It all began when I saw your face glow
The reality vanquished the dreams
Momentarily drowned in the depths of the soul
Nothing is the same... nothing is what it seems
The light... the star... became one into space
Thoughts ran away and vision looked for your face
But heart and time joint to warn the clock is cruel

He can control the time
He can make me lose my mind
Time is running
And pain is coming
The clock became a bullet hole
Nothing can be spared
The pain... the rain... the fear...
Wrapped in a fusion of sadness and a simple tear
My heart knew you'd never be there

I have traveled from afar just to see the beauty
Which love brings on to the life of some people
Never expected to face the ruins of time scattered on the floor
The statues of hope and light don't shine anymore
Totally unable to judge the deeds of a guilty
An arrow of madness is piercing my heart litlle by little
What I've ever known will never say goodbye

I'm going back to where my heart was light
When my pillow was a ship I sailed through the night

Not every boat you come across is one you've got to take
There's no destination that stars can ever make
Life remains the same night of poetry and motion
Into a time full of resignation and emotion
The essence of your soul was meant for me
That's why my hands won't leave you here
In the middle of time... middle of the clock

... the clock became a burden
I will never be the same without you...
