Ingrid,
although this is not a celebration in the U.K I can feel the mixed emotion and charged atmoshere in this piece. All this imagery and all in just 17 syllables, how do you do it?

To me the 4th of July means the summer is almost over, we are at the halfway point of the year. I am not much on the sounds of fireworks but the beauty of the displays they use is wonderful. Good Job. 5/5

Beautiful piece, you really summed up everything in such few words! The imagery that passed my mind was incredible, as the Fourth of July is a joyous time. 5/5 from me, take care...

A great Senryu .. I am quite impressed to see all these forms being wrote by you. Each one I read is completely different.. its nice to see you expanding your horizons and exploring forms of poetry. A poem about the 4th of July.. in such few words youve said it all. I love the usage of the word waves.. I believe that would be almost a personification.
Well done.
5/5.
