After Work Festival

by Andrew Packard   Apr 22, 2013

You stand in line at the dodgem car ride,
Eyes open wide watching bumper cars grind.
Sparks streaking by on the cars they collide,
Pushing the metal to not fall behind.

Now let me show you the octopus spin,
Centripetal forces you into her.
Teeth picket fences hold back vomit grin,
Swallowed up dinner head for the Zephyr.

Never a long wait at this amusement,
360 degrees around here.
Little boy wonder we make our ascent,
Nothing compares to the view in the air!

Like a three ring circus spin in your mind.
On spring break vacation all of the time ...

I'm really happy you posted this piece Andrew... I truly love it! The word usage, and of course the creative way you added vomit made me giggle!

    Truly a fun filled piece!

You can't get away from vomit with the Monster ride!
I bet CSI could swab for dna puke trace!
