Eternal Girl

Eternal Girl spreads her wings
And soars
Leaving behind comfort and dread
And everything that was once said

Looking down poppies
And roses
All she knows is what’s
Going on down below is dark
And lost in all shadows

Turning her head up
To look back nevermore
She strives
To fly high with her massive wings
Ever on the climb

To find one day
That all her weight has been
Lifted away
And her tear soaked
Feathers have decayed

Now the lost
She has found
As her brightly lit pieces
Drift back down

Eternal girl breathes shallow
Her embers chasin the shadows
The eternal fire of the Phoenix
Burns liquid molten
Igniting life to return again
