Ideas?

Hey there!
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I should write about?
I just, haven't been inspired lately.
And I can't think of what to write about..
Please help!

Write about sleeping in a tree

And, I mainly write about pain, friends, or love.
Sometimes I write about misc. things, like what it would be like to fly like a bird. :3

Pain, friends and love are all good topics. But I agree that whatever you choose to write about should come from inside.

Also, funny poetry is fun to write. Nobody ever writes about their favorite kind of cheese.

There favorite kind of cheese? Hahaha, thank you(:

Noooo.... don't do the pain/love/angst thing.
Write a haiku about your favorite pair of shoes.
Then write an eight line rhyming poem about a fish.

Then write about the rain.

If you succeed in all these, then you can write about pain/love/angst... but only if you must!

The lagoon

Swimming is like flying
over teeming coral reef
gliding without trying
time seems far too brief.
What! Where did they all go?
Colors gone - unkind sea
maybe shark, I don't know
unseen scourge behind me.

The rain is gone

Why ask who will stop the rain
when the question is when will it begin?
Drought is here, lakes are down
whether or not it comes
damage is already done.

Trees dead everywhere,
homes sunk inches deeper
foundations need repair
wildlife has nowhere to escape

Is this from global warming
or just some weather freak?
Becoming desert in any case
as the rain just stays away.

Hey, if you are ever have a block, the thing that inspires me the most is music. It's so easy to inspire. It just takes a verse, or rhythm to trigger your creative juices.

That is DEFINITELY true, music gets me pumped and inspired, it helps you feel all these different emotions and thoughts start flowing in your mind and next thing you know, you've written a master piece! :)

My inspiration lately has been from bits and pieces of odd dreams. :3

But music is also excellent when it comes to being inspired.!

A writing exercise that I find extremely helpful is to sit down and write non stop for like 3 minutes without thinking then go back and create a poem from what you've written. You'd be surprised at what your subconscious brings out.
