i recently broke up with my ex we had a 8 month relationship. She said "im afraid of getting close with people. i dont need anyone other then my brother"

so now i write lots of hurt and heart break poems.

The break up wasn't necessarily caused by your not being able to get close to someone. It just means you haven't met the love of your life yet. When you do you'll both feel the same whether it's instant or whether it takes time.
