picture inspired poems

As the title says, a while back on this site we had a similar "event" -I dunno what else to call it- so I wonder if anybody would be interested in maybe choosing a certain picture and then write a poem inspired by it and post both to this thread, I find it most intriguing to see how people interpret art or even random scenery. Thanks for your time and have a nice day whoever reads this.

Very interesting. Is there any picture/portrait that you recommend for others to start with?

    my effort (from the vaults)

    Floating castle rocks my world.

    Whenever he desired solitary existence
    the castle called his name,
    it began with a whisper
a tone that deafened this realm.

He often wondered how he would reach it,
the rock hung beautifully in the cloud strewn sky,
the anger of the sea was his reminder,
of such a turbulent life below.

    He imagined standing and admiring
    those poor souls scurrying below,
    continuing their ant like lifestyle
while he was king of his flying mountain.

But once turned back from the painting,
looking for a sign to comfort,
he realised that so many blue brush-strokes,
    could only point to sadness.

from my dark dusty vault too:

    ~Eye spy~

    ...Stillness

    Coloured coral concealing, not revealing...yet
    Patience endures...un-blinking...barely beating.

    ...hush

    Buoyant, silent storm, mentally pacing...bracing.
Preened evolution, honed to the muscular bone.

    ...slowly

    ...ever so carefully, moving, approving
what the eye becomes alive for, survives for..

    ...not long now

the suspense of imminent death on baited breath
threatens to stain waters too clear for fear, perhaps?

    ...Suspense

...a spectator, a prying rubber aviator.
Shadows akin with quest, investing, no resting

    Attack!!!

In a cloud of calculation, blood and crustaceans
...nature tears its jagged grin of vice like pearly sin..

    .....hush

Waters calm the reef like a medicinal balm,
Soothing the fight of natures bite.

    ..stillness

    leaving the coral
    concealing
    a grin...

    ..of blackened ice.

    ..................................

*Picture is a silhouetted scuba diver through a gap in the coral reef.

A couple comes to my head but I'll put the one I was actually reminded of this when I saw. It is Salvation by Marc Fishman

And another that I find very interesting is The Concert with a Bas-Relief by Valentin de Boulogne

    let me be... (https://i.pinimg.com/originals/14/07/7d/14077d2e794f73d8ccbeb0088819f44b.jpg )

    dying in darkness
    with writhing snakes
    at my feet

    I inhale flames
    flailing the sane
    i seek

    oh, let me me...

    emptied and drained
    I am leaving
    those hallowed gates

    arise arise arise
    a light pulls
    ascending
    for sanity's sake

    slowly, I rise
    and hear them
    roar

    hissing, they claw
    drawing me thin
    ripping my skin

    oh, let me be...

    betwixt and between
    dark and light
    forever caught
    in a life
    and death
    fight
