Are there 2 different legal systems In America?

Well supposedly, the legal system is suppose to be the same for everyone, rich & poor, famous & commoners... but i don't know about that.

Criminal defendants are not sentenced for having been charged with a crime. They are sentenced only for having been convicted of a crime.

Do you know what crime(s) she was actually convicted of? That is what is really important in making any comparison.
