9/11 love

Why kill people
why on a certain date
why the tragic loss
all out of hate

why attack our country
just because we're free
why kill our loved ones
why not let us be

because we have good things
and religions of all kinds
because we think differently
and have different minds

nobody should resent us
for being what we are
this country has been through pain
and survived by working hard

man has made this country
to be all it can be
now we are being scorned
for fighting to be free

our ancestors fought for this
why let it all go
i know we miss our loved ones
but we cant bring them home

we fought this war before
many years ago
we fought to keep all terrorists
from coming to our home

if soldiers come back home now
we have let our country down
our men will have fought for nothing
and we'll be ruined from town to town

so keep some ground troops over there
and get things straightend out
let them show them who we are
and what we are about

when they begin to realize
we're helping them to be free
bring our soldiers home
and thank them greatly for me
