London

by Lenny   Feb 9, 2008

Ruby red lips
Kiss London skies
Weeping acid rain
Smoking lullabies

Jets flock phantoms,
Prowling on the breeze
April moon whispers
Angels
Tint the trees

Bricks pile stoutly
Nestled in rows
Lorries and minis
Twinkle like toes

Smog-brown water
Still coated with ducks
As smudged horizon
Mother moon tucks.

Perfect poem: it paints vivid pictures....I like London, though I've only been there once.

    Wow...
Amazingly written, so beautiful and remarkable piece. I am in awe. This poem is simply brilliant from the first to the last line and every word seem perfectly picked. I admire your writing skills. The imagery that you created in each stanza is breathtaking.
    This is true poetic gem.
