Life was not easy and life was not fair,
But the hero fought on with a smile.
He was one half, until he found his pair,
And suddenly the tears seemed worthwhile.

Pain had filled his heart and tears filled his eyes,
But when she laughed he forgot all his hurt,
And the world seemed happy, not filled with lies.
The sun shined brightly and turned mud to dirt.

His pain slowly turned to smiles and laughs,
She has took the time to help stop his tears,
They now were complete, no longer just halves.
He held her tight, and they forgot their fears.
