All a Lie

by TheRevelation   Feb 12, 2008

My heart aches for the tenderness of your touch,
My eyes yearn to see your beautiful face,
My cheeks are wet from missing you so much,
When you walked away my legs wanted to chase,

My tears are all the memories,
Making a pool at my feet I start to drown,
In the bitterness and sorrow I weep,
True love was supposed to be forever,

I double over with pain,
My chest tightening every moment,
The oxygen doesn't seem to circle around me,
As I curl up suffering I yell out into the night,

The stars give no answer,
The only sound is my heaving sobs,
You promised me you wouldn't leave,
But that was all a lie.
