Daddy How Could You?

It gets colder outside
And Little Girl has nowhere to stay
The cold shakes Her body
But Shes glad She ran away

As Little Girl walks through the snow
She keeps a smile on Her face
She is truly happy for once
Shes never going back to that place

The poor Little Girl
Had to grow up so fast
But Shes never looking back
Some things should stay in the past

Little Girl will grow up so different
Because of what He did
Shes happy Shell never see Him again
But sad cause She never got to be a kid

She wonders if Shell miss Him
Or if Shell see Him again
But She slowly erases His memory
No longer will She pretend

He was suppose to love Her
He was suppose to care
But no one has told Her She is loved
And lately lifes been unfair

She prays at night
And asks God why -
Why - did he give Her a Daddy
That is never by Her side?

Why - does She deserve this?
What did She do wrong?
Why - does Daddy beat Her?
Just to make Himself feel strong?

Why - doesnt He care?
Daddy do you remember Her name?
All the lies you tell Her
Are starting to sound the same

im sorry for this
And "I promise Ill be there"
But Daddy broke promise after promise
Trying to make Her think He cared

Soon Daddy hurt Her
Even with His words
The Little Girl would scream for help
But was sadly never heard

You dont even deserve what you have
One night is what He said
So this tired Little Girl
Thought Shed be better off dead

But that Little Girl found the strength
And ran away one night
Now the future for this Little Girl
Finally looks bright

Someday He might regret it
When Hes gray and old
Maybe His heart of stone will sink
And His soul will be cold

Daddy might see what He did
How He broke Her heart real deep
Daddy might start to realize
He was the reason She cried Herself to sleep

Maybe one day Daddy will wake-up
Maybe one day Daddy will cry
Because He will need that Little Girl
To help Him get by

And someday She might miss Him
But where will He be?
Daddy where are you?
How could you do this to Me?
