I always expected your call.

by Ankita Chobey   Feb 15, 2008

Knowingly or unknowingly we chose separate ways.
and i was pretending to forget those nights those days.
then came in life new shades.
assuming that the past usually fades.
seasons passed away.
layering those castles made of clay.

but deep within the shell.
with every ringing bell.
i always expected your call.
and i always wanted to fall.

i avoided thinking of you.
when sitting at the pew.
when crossing that shop.
where we used to wait in the fog.
your coming late.
and flirting with my mate.

but deep within the shell.
with every ringing bell.
i always expected your call.
and i always wanted to fall.

you remember that night.
i guess we were into some fight.
you were looking great.
but i couldnt say that to you straight.
it was some function and i wanted to talk.
with the high ego couldnt make a walk.
and there i could see your frustration.
your anger your agitaion.
i still feel regretful for that while.
wanted you to turn up to me with a smile.

and deep within the shell.
with every ringing bell.
i always expected your call.
and i always wanted to fall.

anyways the new shades lost their glow.
life again took its own flow.
the soft corner remained untouched and soft.
like an intentionally unapproached loft.
you appeared and disappeared many times.
and i feared touching again those lines.

but deep within the shell.
with every ringing bell.
i always expected your call.
and i always wanted to fall.

now you are standing in front of me again.
my heart speaks something which my brain calls insane.
you bring me smile, you bring me tear.
i still feel happy when you sit near.
but trust me i am puzzled.
tell me ..help me out for am muddled.

but its true that
deep within the shell.
with every ringing bell.
i always expected your call.
and i always wanted to fall.
