The Gray Corner!

by Ankita Chobey   May 11, 2013

It absorbs, in its enormity, the little light, left flickering, breathing the last few blows of belief.
It expands beyond all boundaries of ugly porches, stinking of the pile of failures parked in there.

It smothers the comfort of the rotten faith that hung loosely on the broken hooks.
Faith which could see the bright light of day, now sees only the shades of gray, when this monster breaches into the private loft the mental space.

It grows and builds the mountain like structures of fear and cowardice, to blind any vision to observe confidence and courage.
Soggy mental images of failed attempts and no attempts guard the structures, leaving the bite of more fear and darkness.

Soon the leftover air also escapes the dungeon and colors start to fade, leaving behind just the huge, dark, cold, gray corner.
