From Thorns to Diamonds: The Healing.

by Lex   Feb 15, 2008

In a shadow of darkness, lies a single rose.
Red but dim, in its mid-life bloom.
A bold reminder, from a cold, dark past.
Into a light of beauty, but still thorned.

Still thorned with the past, and its mistakes.
That take hold, on what should seem perfect.
A gentle creation, against itself by past choices.
Lost in a haze, of possiblity and second guessing.

When a new life, is being paused to begin.

Then a soft hand, and a touch gentle as misting rain.
Picks up the fallen rose, to craddle with care.
Showing love, to heal the wounds of ugly thorns.
Making the rose, as perfect and beautiful as it should be.

One sweet kiss, and everything changes.
The scars and wounds from a dark past, are healed.

And the paused new beginning, has now just begun.

Thorns are fading, to be no more.
And the stem begins to glow, bright with new strength.
And where ugly thorns had been, that haunted it so.
Small, delicate diamonds, have now appeared.

So problems of the past also fade, but it will never forget.
But a new bloom of life, with more purpose.
A brighter red glow, and a greater strength.
In the hand of a love, that will forever remain.

Unlike failed attempts, of a painful past.
As that one touch, has made it immortal.
Washing away all the pain, to start all over again.
With diamonds to symbolize, its new wealth and beauty in love.
