If I could write a poem
I'd write it especially for you
For you were there to help me
when I didn't know what to do.

If I could sing a song
I'd dedicate it to you
You were there to lend a hand
help me work things through.

If I could make a speech
I'd tell everyone how much you care
Patiently, you listened
when, my troubles, I wanted to share.

If I could, somehow, tell the world
about you, my dear best friend
I'd tell them that you are the best
on you I can always depend.

If I could...
