Out-worn

by Courtney Lynn   Feb 18, 2008

Memories of you and I,
replay like a song
stuck in the back of my mind.

And till this very day
I still say what we had
was one of a kind.

After we were said and done
I'll admit the pain was sharp.

But now my life is better
There's a patch across my heart.

I still tend to smile,
when I speak of what we had.

And I never make you look the fool
even when mentioning the bad.

So think what you will,
for all your care is gone

And I'll continue to smile
At the love that's been out-worn.
