The Wall Of Trust.

by Vonnie McHugh   Feb 20, 2008

In life we are given a chance,
To find love and romance,
But sometimes it all goes very wrong,
And in your heart you cant be strong.

When hurt we build up this wall,
So no one can get into it at all,
No matter how hard they try,
Our feelings of fear we cant deny.

We hide behind the wall of steel,
Because we never ever want to feel,
The pain and hurt that we once knew,
That has now became life's issue.

We meet someone who wants our heart,
But this wall they will have to take apart,
Inside you want to get rid of this pain,
You only want to love again.

So one day you really must,
Give to another lots of trust,
This wall of fear will need to go,
And let this person love you so.

So with love and lots of hope,
You learn you can really cope,
Trusting this person with your heart,
Finally the wall is taken apart.
