I wish i could tell you.

by anna   Feb 21, 2008

Under the stars on a rooftop at night,
while the moon was in hiding, our minds were aflight.

Surrounded by blankets of glitter and blue,
You sat next to me and I next to you.

High on the wings of plastic and paint,
we thoughtfully sat without any complaint.

Wrapped in the winter, hair standing on end,
I secretly hoped for a kiss to impend.

As wind stabbed our bones, we shivered, but still
we sucked and we smoked on our cancer to kill.

As no words were spoken I had one single care.
I wished I could tell you i'm glad you were there.
