Maybe Regrets

by End of Neverland   Feb 25, 2008

I never knew what love was
until you came along.
My walls were broken,
my heart unguarded.
You were a safety net
my knight in tinted armor.

But what goes up
must come down
and down I did go
our flame burned out
and my heart broke.

Is it better this way
with no strings attached?
It doesn't feel so right
as I'm crying here tonight.

Sunsets and silhouettes
you whispered in my ear.
"This may sound cliche
but don't think of this as an end
but as a new beginning."
But now I can't think at all,
staring at the ceiling.
