Missing You

by NEIL MUNRO   Feb 27, 2008

I lie alone here in my bunk, a thousand miles away,
I close my eyes and think of you as night it turns to day,
I hope and pray that I dream of you,
Even though I know these hours they will be few,
Then I feel a tear begin to form, it rolls down from my eye,
I feel that tear might not be alone, as I hear a lonely sigh,
And just as I start to drift of to sleep,
On my face a smile begins to creep,
For I think of the things we are going to do,
On the days that I am home, when I see you,
I will touch your face and hold your hand,
the love that flows from you makes me feel so grand,
Then your soft green eyes stare straight at me,
No need for an answer because you can see,
That I love you more and more each day,
And I can promise that will stay,
So no need for me to lie here sad,
For you are in my life, and for that I'm glad. X
