Rhyming isn't always necessary, rhymes often ruin the atmosphere of the poem, and in this one I think that rhyming was quite forced which left a negative impression on me.
Other than that very nice poem, some parts posses amount of originality and idea for whole piece is very creative. I like ending, I think that your writing would be even more powerful with some unique, more interesting, wording.
All in all good job, keep writing.
