Hear my cry!

by Jacob Staly   Feb 29, 2008

The winter breeze wispers her name
the pain brings me to my knees
I lay down and spread myself out
in the endless lake of white lies
I can barely feel myself sinking
deep into the hopeless night
my lifeless body makes an impression
a false image of myself beneath me
I begin to drown under each snowflake
until there is nothing left to see
the frost pierces my flesh with ease
my bleeding heart begins to numb
I call her name, but there is only silence
I raise my hand up through the snow
with my last words I beg and plead
please find me, hear my cry!
