Best Friends Forever, Boyfriends Whatever

by Madison   Mar 4, 2008

You try to pierce me with your words and lies,
But I've got my friends who stand firmly by my side.
When you shove that dagger right through my heart
And tear me totally apart
They heal all my wounds
And make sure that it's all over soon.
I used to cry and weep over your hurtful remarks,
But now, my friends will come back at you
With a knife that's twice as sharp.
I have realized that I don't need you or your love,
And that I've finally had enough.
You say I blame it all on you,
But, honey, that's because it's true!
So quit pretending that you want me back,
For I know that, deep inside, it's all a bad act.
I'll stay right here with all my friends
Who will always, no matter what, be here until the end.
