Map of hidden records

Where have I come?

It's all red and empty here,
With fields of dust and harsh land,
Rocks that stand as tall as mountains,
It truly is a planet of nothing.

I gaze up at the blue point,
The place I call home,
But, now I wonder,
We'll we suffer the same faith?

With the ice melting faster and faster,
I feel a great wave of water and despair,
Descend upon me like an omen,
Pay it heed! Or else we will perish.

The bolt of fear strikes hard and painful,
As the face that's carved in the rocks speaks,
It speaks of an ancient world,
Wrecked and warped into nothingness,
And then utterly destroyed, to ensure their lives.

They came from a star,
And on the red planet they settled,
Till hate, war and corruption destroyed them.
They escaped through rain of fire and rocks,
To the blue point,
That blue point we all call home.
