Until He's Here With Me

by Crystal Rose Crahan   Mar 7, 2008

Stars in the heavens
Twinkle down to me here,
Their brightness blurs,
Here comes one small tear.

It rolls down my cheek,
Making a path for more to come,
It is not from sadness,
But from thinking of the one.

I imagine his eyes,
Looking straight down into my soul,
Why isn't he here
For me to hold?

I wipe the tear away,
A smile spreads across my face,
I imagine him kissing my lips and holding me,
When we're together in the same place.

But until he's here with me,
I'll look up into the night sky,
Knowing he can see it too,
Gives me the will and courage to try.
