Melancholy In Your Absence

by Ippy   Mar 7, 2008

A melancholy mood is the state that I'm in.
No matter what I do, I just can't win.

I'm surrounded by a family who loves me so.
And yet this feeling of sadness is what I show.

I can't help it, this feeling surpasses me.
When you're not here it harasses me.

Gloominess attackes me from the left, and sorrow from the right.
The emotions so vast, I can't win this fight.

I need you to be here, take me away.
Make me forget that I ever felt this way.

It won't be hard, just be you.
And this mood that I'm in will soon fall through.

No stress, no sorrow, no misery.
No forced happiness, with you it comes willingly.

You're my everything, my best medicine and cure.
Without you I feel this way, it's you I long for.

I trust you'll be here soon, I really do hope.
But until then, aimlessly I will continue to mope.
