I wanted for you 35 years wonderful child of mine
Family of three beginning my tree
Happy and healthy and full of charisma
Named by song, a young girl changing daily
Hide and seek or peek a boo you hide
Discovered a delightful reply "here I are"
This memory melts my heart time after time
Scooby Doo, Barney, blankey and horses
Champion for cats, dogs and dolphins too
My star the apple of my eye, my foundation
Beautiful, proud always bold yet courteous
Willing to sacrifice an activist in the making
Trusting, responsible and true

Middle girl, second gift of nature
Tender and compassionate a friend to all
You compliment our trio, now a quartet
Snowy day that September a day to recall
The tiniest hand holding my finger
You and I share tubes and wire the struggle for air
My fear unfounded small and fragile
Indomitable spirit you make my heart shine
Let's pretend princess, imagination unbridled
Your art and drawings special and bright
Don't harden your heart and always remember
The earth can be cruel to one so tender
You bring me joy, I become sentimental

Golden boy my strong little man
Four becomes Five a loving addition
Always an ideal thing or thought to say
Running to me proclaiming Daddy's arrival

The perfect brother, witty and loyal

December 2001 made us complete
A happier time I cannot relate
Gorgeous boy many admire
Lips and lashes every girls notice
Handsome and brave my young son

I tuck you in, watch the fire protecting you always
Mountain lions, traffic, lightning and more
A vigilant father none could compare
You give me purpose without you I am lost
Our journey is changing beyond my control
A bitter choice has robbed me of life
Less time is given to be there with you
Forever and always I remember my time by you three
Help where I can and constantly provide
Encouragement and advice, knowledge when able
I cherish our moments your photos I covet
