I hate it when you ask them, searching desperately
for what you need to hear, "do you still love me?"
even when you know their answer is just a lie, for
that insignificant moment, the pain is at a lesser degree

^^I agree with this Tabi, sometimes you would rather hear a lie than the cold hard truth....
